I am lucky enough to have found a group of friends in Savannah who are also talented singers and voice instructors. Together, we are The Voice Co-op, bringing our students together each month for group lessons and workshops. Our students build stage presence and self-confidence by regularly performing for a group of peers, and receive personalized feedback from each of the instructors.

Studio Policies and Fees:
  • Expectations:
    • Arrive at lessons on time, prepared, and ready to work.
    • Although unforeseen circumstances (like traffic) may cause you to be late, the lesson will still have to finish on time in consideration of the student scheduled after you.
    • You may bring a device to record your lessons.  (A smart phone usually has a recording app that works well for this.)
    • Bring a binder for notes, vocalises, and repertoire.
  • Scheduling:
    • We operate under two semesters each year, one in fall and one in spring. I travel and study over the summer; summer lessons are scheduled on a week-to-week basis.
    • Students will attend weekly lessons for either 30 or 60 minutes.
    • A studio class (group class) each month will provide an opportunity for each student to sing in a safe environment for an audience of peers.  Consider this a "support group," a place to try out new ideas, and a venue for recital preparation.
  • Locations: See studio calendar for locations and lesson availability
  • Fees:
    • $50 Co-op fee (includes recital accompanist fee and monthly studio classes)
    • $50 per hour ($750 for 15-week semester)
    • $35 per half-hour ($525 for 15-week semester)
  • Payment Schedule:
    • Week one: 1/2  tuition due
    • Week eight: remaining 1/2 tuition due
  • Cancellation/Make-up Policy:
    • Registering for voice lessons in my studio is a serious time commitment.  I have a limited number of hours during the week set aside for teaching, and have hired an accompanist to attend lessons.  Please do not make a habit of canceling your voice lessons.  If you must cancel, please call me immediately (24 hours is appreciated) so I can offer your time to another student.
    • It is very difficult for me to schedule make-up lessons; if you must cancel due to serious illness or family crisis, I will work with you to find a make-up time, but in most cases, you will not receive a make-up lesson.
    • I avoid having to cancel lessons, but once in a while I must cancel.  If this happens, I will absolutely schedule a make-up lesson with you.
